About Me:   I am a farm wife, and mother of 5, (4 of my own and 1 stepdaughter).   I am very proud of all my children.  I have saved, I think, everything they have ever given me that they made in school; also their report cards, awards, and school pictures, etc.  The list goes on.  About 12 years ago I decided I needed to sort and do something with all my "savings."  I went to town (Red Deer, AB) to buy 5 scrapbooks to put their stuff into.  While in town I saw a sign that indicated that it was a scrapbook store.   I was excited - this was going to be easy - I could pick up 5 books and head home, treasures in tow.

What I saw when I walked into the store took me completely by surprise.   I saw isles and isles of stuff to make scrapbooks.  At this point I didn't realize there was a craft like this, and did not know where to start.  A sales clerk must of read my face and asked if she could help me.   I remember saying, "Uh, I think I need a how to book, and then went on to explain how I had just stepped in for 5 books."  The lady smiled and took me to the magazine rack and proceeded to help me pick out a scrap booking magazine.  She said she could help me pick out the basics and get me started.   Overwhelmed, at that point, I took just the magazine  that day, and said that I might be back in two weeks to get started ( we had brought a trailer to Red Deer for repair, and it would be ready in two weeks)........

Two weeks later my husband sat patiently in the truck while I proceeded to get the basics plus.....I soon figured out that I wanted to be able to get my product without the 3 hour drive; so began to search for home based businesses that I could get started with.   I joined Close To My Heart the first time in 2005 ( I put scrap booking to the side while I  went to school myself).  I rejoined Close To My Heart in 2013 when I found I had time to again scrap a lot. A group of wonderful ladies indicated that they were interested in starting a club and my business was born.  I love to scrapbook and get "motor mouth" whenever someone expresses an interest in the craft.   I have met more wonderful ladies while attending events for Close To My Heart....
